Efficiently Inverting the L2-Invariant through Stability Theory

چکیده
In [4], an efficient algorithm for inverting the L-invariant is presented, which amounts to a reduction to resolving a certain combinatorial-design problem, the so-called magic square. While elegant, this approach does not lend itself to generalization to greater numbers of variables. In this paper, I approach the L-canonization problem by explicitly seeking to exploit the well-behaved geometry of L-theories. Specifically, I present an algorithm to invert the L-invariant which relies on the fact that all complete L-theories are stable with “trivial” forking-dependence.

Stability and L2 Gain Analysis for Discrete-Time LTI Systems with Controller Failures
In this paper, we analyze stability and L2 gain properties for discrete-time linear time-invariant (LTI) systems controlled by a pre-designed dynamical output feedback controller which fails from time to time due to physical or purposeful reason. Our aim is to find conditions concerning controller failure time, under which the system’s stability and L2 gain properties are preserved to a desired...
متن کاملImproving L2 Gain Performance of Linear Systems by Reset Control
In this paper, new Lyapunov-based reset rules are constructed to improve L2 gain performance of linear-time-invariant (LTI) systems. By using the hybrid system framework, sufficient conditions for exponential and finite gain L2 stability are presented. It is shown that the L2 gain of the closed loop system with resets can be improved compared with the base system. Numerical example supports our...
متن کاملStability and L2 Gain Analysis for a Class of Switched Symmetric Systems
In this paper, we study stability and L2 gain properties for a class of switched systems which are composed of a finite number of linear time-invariant symmetric subsystems. We focus our attention mainly on discrete-time systems. When all subsystems are Schur stable, we show that the switched system is exponentially stable under arbitrary switching. Furthermore, when all subsystems are Schur st...
متن کاملInput-output Data Based Tracking Control
Traditional methods of tracking controller design involve inverting the system dynamics using the model of the system, Model errors will result in performance degradation and may lead to instability. Since the system parameters vary due to the factors such aa age, temperature, etc., there is an interest in tracking control schemes that can efficiently address changes in the system’s behavior. T...
متن کاملA passivity-based approach to reset control systems stability
The stability of reset control systems has been mainly studied for the feedback interconnection of reset compensators with linear time-invariant systems. This work gives a stability analysis of reset compensators in feedback interconnection with passive nonlinear systems. The results are based on the passivity approach to L2-stability for feedback systems with exogenous inputs, and the fact tha...
